Leather Tub Chair

The leather tub chair has been around for a long time and they are still popular today. They have actually been around for decades. Some older chairs that were well taken care of are still around and just as beautiful today. Most people choose their leather chair more for the comfort than the style. However, generally they are all made from a decent quality of leather. They can be very comfortable and only get better as they age.

You can check the tag on the bottom the chair that you are considering purchasing, to see the quality of materials that went to the making of that piece of furniture. This gives you information on the leather that was used when making the chair as well.

To get a good quality chair, the full is much better quality of leather to go with as it helps to accentuate the natural imperfections of the cow’s hide. This gives your leather chair more character and charm.

Top grain leather generally is less expensive because it has usually been stretched and/or sanded so and it often times will not have the same natural. It may have some imperfections stamped into it by the manufacture but it still will not have that rich smell of full grain leather. Some times you loose that familiar leather smell because of the tanning process. Al though tanning is usually used on lower quality leather. When it goes through this process it removes some of the leathers natural oils. This can degrade the leather as well.

The darker black or brown colored chairs have been dyed for sure. The more extensive the processing done on a cow’s hide, the higher the chances will be that it will crack or split later on. The higher grade full grain leather chairs will wear out much less and last longer. The price is usually a good indicator of how well the chair is made. So expect to pay more for a full grain leather chair than some other chairs. It is a good investment for an elegant and comfortable piece of furniture.

You can purchase a new tub chair at most fine furniture stores and you can find them on line as well. Look for a high quality vintage tub chair for an authentic look.

Solar Powered Lights

Solar powered lighting has come such a long way in the past few years that it's hard to think of an application where they cannot be used. I see them used as garden accent lights, path lights, to light driveways, pools, sheds and decks. I have seen solar crosswalk lights, street lights, security lights, and even solar skylights. With all of these potential uses, if you are not using solar power to light up your home or garden, you should be.

I wrote a blog about solar lighting called the Solar Lights Site. In that blog, there are many posts covering all of these uses, as well as the benefits, installation, tips and reviews. I also cover the advances in solar lighting technology and I even have a store where you can buy solar lights right from the comfort of your own computer. Since my store is backed by Amazon.com, you will be sure to get the lowest prices on the net, as well customer reviews and great customer service.

If you haven’t checked out the Solar Lights Site, you probably should. You can find them at http://solarlightssite.com

Buzzduit Update 3/10/10

Spring is coming, and so is the launch of buzzduit.com! In this article I wanted to update everyone on where we are with development and share with you all our plans for monetization.

As many of you know, in order for a social networking site to be viable in the long term, it must find a way to pay its bills. For Facebook, it is their pay-per-click ads. Myspace sells advertising space. Even Twitter (who, for the longest time survived on venture capitol) has begun working on new methods of monetization.

As we have already mentioned in the FAQs, we intend to monetize buzzduit.com from day one. The reason is that we want to cater to the users, and their (your) wants and needs, as opposed to the whims of venture capitalists. In our opinion, that is the only way to ensure that our members have a say in how the site works.

The challenge is to create and maintain a website that will remain free to our members, without annoying them with obtrusive advertisements, while still enabling us to pay the bills WITHOUT venture capitol money. Our answer is the “Vendor Spotlight” program. The Vendor Spotlight program is a way for businesses and website owners to bring targeted buyers to their websites in a natural and unobtrusive way, for a low monthly fee. Here is how it works:
